Glabrous scandent shrub or herbaceous vine with lenticellate stems, glabrescent leaves to 70mm x 32mm. Axillary solitary magenta or red flowers lobes yellow within to 55mm long, calyx to 12mm x 7mm with lobes to 7mm x 2mm, corolla tube curved to 40mm long, coriaceous capsule to 24mm long
