Yellowish-brown tomentose tree or clambering shrub to 4.5m with pubescent branchlets. Coriaceous serrate pilose leaves maturing glabrous to 150mm x 70mm, pubescent beneath. Axillary pubescent fascicle 10mm long with 3-4 white or orange-green flowers with 4-6 minute glabrate sepals 1mm x 2mm wide. Staminate inflorescence to 35mm long with greenish-orange or white flowers 6.5mm wide, 5-6 sepals. Pistillate inflorescence shorter with flowers 3mm wide with 3-7 stellate-tomentose sepals. Slightly pubescent red fruit to 20mm x 10mm wide
