Climbing shrub or small tree to 3m with glabrescent branches. Bicoloured denticulate leaves to 250mm x 90mm, white tomentose beneath. Terminal corymbose paniculate cymes with pubescent bracts, flower heads to 10mm x 12mm with 4-5 bracts, no ray florets, 18-22 disc florets with glabrous corolla 8mm long & tube 4mm long, lobes 1.5mm long. Hispid achenes 2mm long with white or tawny bristles to 9mm long.
