High-climbing vine, shrub or tree to 15m with glabrate branches. Bicoloured leaves hispid above white-tomentose beneath to 200mm x 120mm. Ternibal or subterminal cymose panicles with pilose bracts, flower heads to 5mm with 2-3 bracts, no ray florets, 5 disc florets with cream or golden corolla 8.5mm long, lobes to 3mm long. 10-ribbed pubescent achenes to 3mm long with white or tawny bristles 8mm long.
