High-climbing or prostrate pubescent angular-stemmed tendril vine with 3-5 branched tendrils. Pilose leaves to 150mm x 150mm with denticulate margins, 5-angled or shallowly lobed & pubescent beneath. Inflorescences to 90mm long, 7mm wide yellow male flowers, fimbriate calyx tube 3mm diameter, corolla pale green to white to 3.5mm long x 2.5mmin. Glabrous or hirsute prickly yellow-green fruit to 40mm long with rigid yellowish bristles to 4mm long+.
