Fruiting Times
Herbaceous annual trifid tendril vine, trailing or climbing, branched tendrils, with hairy angled stems to 6m. Scabrous pubescent 5-7 lobed leaves to 150mm across, toothed lobes hairy both surfaces. White, yellow or greenish monoecious flowers with darker green veining, male flowers to 4mm diameter in racemes or corymbs, pistillate flowers in axillary clusters, sepals of staminate flowers triangular to 5mm long, white corolla striped green to 12mm across. Spiny, tomentose & knobbly berry to 20mm long covered with barbed yellow prickles.
