Extensive prickly scandent or trailing shrub, spiny liane or small tree with villous branchlets armed with 3mm hooked prickles, lenticels on stems. Bipinnate leaves, 10-37 pairs of leaflets to 14mm x 4.8mm, leaflets puberulous and prickly beneath. Axillary or terminal racemose panicles to 200mm with floral bracts, white or yellowish fragrant flowers with red glabrous calyx to 3.2mm, corolla to 4mm with 5 lobes to 1mm. Large fleshy sinuate brown mucronate legume 150mm x 30mm,
