Woody vine to 25m, or scrambling shrub or small tree with recurved 0.5mm long prickles on branchlets, bipinnate leaves with 40-60 pairs glabrous leaflets to 8mm x 1.5mm. Terminal or axillary panicles or racemes of pale yellow 3.4mm flowers, glabrous calyx to 2.5m with teeth to 1mm, glabrous corolla to 3mm with lobes to 0.9mm, fruit red-brown papery glabrous falcate pods to 180mm x 35mm
