Large woody liana, tree or creeper with minute hooked prickles, yellow or yellowish-white flower in terminal or axillary panicles, calys to 2mm long with 5 slightly villous lobes, corolla to 2.5mm long with 5 lobes, glabrescent purple pod to 150mm long x 30mm, glaucous foliage, bipinnate spiny leaves with 10-16 pairs of leaflets, finely villous both surfaces, glabrescent stems
