Scrambling vigorous armed vine or tree to 15m, square stems, zigzag pubescent or glabrous twigs with prickles. Bipinnate leaves to 400mm long with 6-8 pairs of falconate mucronate leaflets & 15-25 pinna to 16mm long, leaflets glabrous except for tuft of hairs on mid vein beneath. Fragrant creamy white flowers in densely-flowered spikes or panicles to 300mm long, glabrate calyx to 2.5mm long, puberulent becoming glabrate corolla to 5mm long. Dark green glabrous flat legume becoming brown to 220mm x 30mm
