Scrambling vine or liana to 6m with herbaceous glabrescent stems, 5-branched tendrils. Glabrous dentate 3-5 lobed leaves densely white-spotted to 160mm x 150mm, white-punctate above. Axillary inflorescence, male racemes to 250mm long of at least 50 flowers, greenish-yellow or purple-green, calyx 2mm long with teeth 1mm long, petals to 10mm long, female flowers solitary. Fruiting peduncle to 40mm long, white spotted green fruit with spines at base end to 60mm x 25mm with 5 longitudinal ridges.
