Liana or slender twining shrub with glabrous or hispid branches, glabrescent coriaceous papery leaves 100mm x 50mm, slender twiner with small axillary cymes with red-hairy branches to 50mm long with bracts, of pinkish-crimson or creamy-white flowers outside, yellow inside, corolla to 6mm with twisted lobes to 1mm long, calyx pubescent outside with lobes to 1.25mm, corolla 6mm long with glabrous lobes to 3.5mm, puberulous follicles to 300mm long x 3.6mm
