Rhizomatous vining sedge, culms to 10m long. Leaves to 600mm x 14mm with clinging, cutting edges. Inflorescence of 2-10 axillary panicles, pale yellow flowers, pistillate spiklets to 7mm x 3mm, staminat spikmets to 4mm x 2mm. Purple achenes. variegated white to 5mm x 2.5mm.
