Deciduous glabrous woody twining vine with triangular stems the angles winged, glabrous coriaceous minutely denticulate leaves with bright red petioles. Axillary fragrant 15mm yellow to white flowers & red berry to 9.5mm x 7.5mm on spikes to 75mm long
