Prickly scandent or erect hairy shrub to 2m with purplish-red hairs, curved prickles to 5mm, imparipinnate leaves to 210mm long with 2-4 pairs leaflets with serrate to biserrate margins, doubly or irregularly leaflets to 80mm x 40mm. Terminal or axillary corymbs to 400mm long with bracts, 20mm diameter white flowers, triangular sepals to 15mm x 3.5mm, lobes white-puberulent inside, petals to 10mm x 4mm, fruit glabrous orange-red aggregate to 18mm long x 11mm
