Sparsely prickly shrub becoming a scrambler with hispid stems with red-brown or purplish hairs & prickles, 3-foliolate leaves, terminal leaflet toothed & pilose or glabrate above white-tomentose beneath to 80mm x 80mm. Terminal & axillary pilose cymes, pale pink to purplish flowers, calyx to 20mm long, sepals tomentose inside, red petals to 5mm long, 20mm long orange berries aging red
