Sometime climbing or erect glabrescent rambling woody shrub to 2m, sparse recurved prickles, imparipinnate leaves to 270mm long with 7-11 doubly serrated mucronate leaflets, pilose or glabrous above, white-pubescent beneath to 80mm x 40mm. Terminal & axillary tomentose 2-12 flowered corymbs, cymes or racemes to 200mm with bracts, white, red or pink-purple flowers to 10mm diameter, tomentose calyx, white-tomentose triangular sepals to 7mm x 2.5mm, pink petals glabrous or slightly pubescent outside to 5mm x 3.5mm, fruit orange-red hairy drupe to 12mm diameter
