Erect or climbing subshrub with glabrate prickly stems, reddish prickles to 1.5mm long, pinnate, bipinnate or sometimes tripinnate leaves to 120mm long, 3 to 5 pairs serrate margined leaflets to 10mm x 6mm. Terminal cymes to 50mm long with bracts to 3mm, triangular sepals to 9mm x 3.5mm, white petals to 12mm x 10mm, red fruit to 10mm across with persistent sepals
