Scandent spiny shrub to 20m, hairy stems with or without curved prickles. Pubescent or glabrous 3-foliolate leaves, terminal leaflets with serrate margins to 135mm x 90mm, lateral leaflets smaller. Terminal panicles to 600mm long with bracts to 5mm long, white or greenish-white flowers with bracts & bracteoles 2mm long, sepals to 5mm x 5mm, glabrous petals to 9mm x 6mm. Fruit to 15mm diameter, enclosed in persistent sepals.
