Rarely scandent erect shrub to 3m with glabrous stems sometimes armed with prickles to 6mm, imparipinnate leaves to 270mm long with 4 or 5 pairs of leaflets, hairy leaflets to 120mm x 60mm. Terminal cymes to 200mm x 200mm with bracts to 10mm, triangular sepals to 13mm x 6mm, greenish-white glabrous petals to 12mm x 9mm, orange-red fruit to 25mm x 15mm with persistent sepals
