Clambering or erect spiny shrub to 2m with angled tomentose or villous stems, tomentose prickly branches & petioles. 5-foliolate leaves, serrated pubescent leaflets to 100mm x 40mm, pubescent above & tomentose beneath. Terminal panicles with tomentose bracts, of white, whitish-mauve or pink flowers, villous sepals, white or pink petals, red to black fruit
