Climbing or trailing shrub with strigose bristly stems with recurved prickles, 3-5 foliolate leaves, doubly serrate leaflets pubescent or glabrate above tomentose beneath to 120mm long, white flowers in terminal & axillary panicles to 200mm x 100mm with recurved prickles, with tomentose bracts, grey-tomentose calyx lobes to 10mm long in fruit, white petals, black fruit 10mm long
