High-climbing liana or shrub to 18m with pubescent armed or unarmed branches. 3-5 serrated coriaceous leaves, leaflets glabrous above, puberulous beneath, terminal leaflet to 120mm long. Terminal & axillary tomentose panicles with white tomentose bracts to 2mm long, of white flowers, pilose or glabrate sepals, white petals. Small red or black fruit.
