Tall climber with hairy pricklys stems, 3-foliolate leaves with terminal leaflets to 100mm x 70mm, lateral ones smaller. Axillary racemes to 80mm long with bracts to 7mm x 4mm, cream or pale pink flowers, pinkish or purplish sepals hairy outside to 4mm x 3.5mm, petals hairy inside to 8mm x 4.5mm, pubescent or glabrous red-brown to black berries to 7mm x 4mm
