Scandent, arching, erct or sprawling spiny shrub with hooked prickles & pubescent stems. Coriaceous 3-5-foliolate leaves, doubly serrate leaflets to 100mm long, pilose above velutinous beneath. Terminal or axillary tomentose panicles of 15mm white flowers, tomentose sepals to 6mm long, white or pale pink petals slightly longer than sepals. Red aging black glabrous fruit to 15mm long
