Vigorous sprawling vine to 3m with setaceous stems with prickles. 3-5 foliolate leaves, doubly serrate leaflets, terminal leaflet 100mm x 50mm pilose both surfaces. Terminal & axillary panicles of 10mm white or pink flowers, pilose sepals, white or pink petals to 10mm long. Fruit a black drupe 12mm across, pink or red when immature.
