Woody glabrous liane to 25m, shrub or tree young branches puberulous becoming glabrous, older branches with lenticels. Imparipinnate leaves with 5-9 coriaceous leaflets to 160mm x 70mm glabrous above grey-pubescent or ferrugineous beneath. Scented white flowers with 2mm long calyx, sepals 3mm x 2mm, white to creamy yellow petals to 10mm x 2.5mm, in axillary rusty-downy corymbs, cymes or terminal panicles to 180mm long. Reddish or greenish-yellow glabrous leathery pod to 40mm x 17mm, enclosed in persistent calyx.
