Very large to enormous robust root-climbing liana to 20m, glabrous leaves to more than 1m long. Seedling leaves overlapping like roof-shingles to 110mm x 60mm, adult leaves pinnatipartite, pinnatisect or pinnatifid to 940mm x 440mm. Terminal infructescence, solitary or several together with blackish-brown sheath at base, ripening to dull orange 270mm x 35mm, 150mm fleshy stoutly-beaked yellow spathe to 300mm x 50mm, greenish outside, dull green to dirty white spadix to 260mm long x 20mm across, drupe 7mm x 4mm
