Shrub often scandent, dioecious, with leaves glabrous above, hairy beneath, to 80mm x 30mm. Pilose axillary racemes to 30mm of small greenish hairy flowers, fruit a purple-red drupe maturing black to 5mm diameter, stems with purple hairs
