Scrambling vine with tpmentose to glabrate stems. Leaves to 180mm x 70mm with toothed margins, glabrous to glabrate or scabrous above & sometimes hispid beneath. Paniculate cymes with heads of 22-36 florest, violet flowers to 11mm long, brownish-green phyllaries, reddish-purple corolla 10mm long with lobes. Strigose achenes 1.8mm long with whitish pappus bristles to 7mm long.
