Woody twining liana or much-branched climbing shrub with dentate mucronate leaves glabrous above, villous beneath. Staminate inflorescence in axillary spikes to 80mm of 1mm diameter hairy flowers, 4 petals, pistillate inflorescence extra-axillary, calyx villous outside, 4 sepals. Red to orange drupe to 15mm long x 12mm.
