Large dioecious liana or tree to 9m with lenticillate glabrous branchlets. Coriaceous glabrous leaves 125mm x 50mm. Sweet-scented yellow flowers, axillary ferrugineous pubescent male panicles with densely hairy bracts. Fruit with brightly coloured aril.
