Woody liana, climbing shrub or tree, puberulent stems with spines, bipinnate thorny glabrescent coriaceous leaves, glabrous leaflets to 12mm x 3mm. Finely yellow-villous terminal panicles to 350mm long, 5 puberulent sepals to 4.5mm x 2mm, 5 petals to 4.5mm x 2mm, glabrous outside, puberulous inside, winged fruit 50mm x 20mm, wing to 60mm x 18mm
