Prickly woody liana to 30m with glabrous thorny stems, glabrous bipinnate leaves with thorny petioles, leaflets to 15mm x 9mm, glabrous above, sparsley pubescent beneath. Terminal or axillary racemes or panicles to 300mm x 100mm of white 5mm flowers, 5 glabrous sepals to 4.5mm x 2mm, 4 glabrous petals to 6mm x 3.5mm, fruit a winged pod to 65mm x 14mm, wing to 50mm x 20mm
