Lianescent glabrous shrub or tree with papery leaves 200mm x 85mm with recurved margins. Axillary or terminal drooping panicles or subterminal cymes to 100mm diameter with bracteoles, 3mm long white flowers, 2mm long white corolla tube pubescent inside, lobes 1mm long, red berries 6mm long crowned with calyx lobes
