Dioecious glabrous tall simple tendril liana with 1-5-lobed or entire coriaceous glabrous leaves to 184mm x 178mm. Corymb 250mm long of 20mm long bright red or orange flowers with white centres, male green calyx hirsute outside to 15mm x 4.8mm, villous inside, lobes 1mm x 0.75mm, sepals sparsely pilose to 4.8mm long, petals to 12mm x 10mm, petals have dense glands or hairs on the outside, pistillate flowers terminal with green calyx to 41mm x 6.5mm with sepals to 2.3mm, petals to 9.5mm x 9.5mm. Fruit to 70mm long, green aging yellow with longitudinal lines to 45mm x 24mm.
