Woody liana or tree sometimes epiphytic to 5m with tetragonal glabrous stems, twigs densely hairy when young. Glabrous leaves to 220mm x 145mm. Terminal corymbose white, green or violet cymes to 150mm x 120mm with bracts 70mm x 17mm. Flowers with bractlets 3mm long, yellowish-puberulent 4-lobed calyx 4mm long with 5 toothed rim, white to green fragrant corolla, corolla tube to 3.2mm long with lobes to 3.2mm. Purple fruit to 5mm long.
