Large liana to at least 18m, sparsely lenticellate twigs, coriaceous leaves to 250mm x 180mm generally glabrous, male inflorescence to 70mm x 85mm with persistent paired bracts to 10mm long, female inflorescence to 90mm x 90mm with bracts as male, hairy male flowers to 2mm x 1mm, pubescent or glabrous female flowers to 3mm x 1mm, achene 2mm x 1mm covered by persistent perianth
