Liana or clambering shrub to 10m with pubescent lepidote stems. Coriaceous leaves glabrous above scaly beneath to 130mm x 70mm. Axillary or terminal racemes or cymes with bracts of white flowers, corolla to 6mm long. 10-ribbed glabrous cream achenes to 4.5mm long
