Sometimes scandent shrub, liana or tree with 4-angled stems. Coriaceous toothed leaves to 130mm x 60mm, mainly glabrous above & glabrate beneath. Axillary corymbs of 35 heads to 12mm across with 3 florets, white flowers to 5mm long, glabruate white corolla to 3mm long with lobes 3mm long. Glabrous or sparsely pilose achenes 3mm long with white pappus bristles 6mm long
