Liana or scandent shrub with scaly branches. Leaves to 130mm x 45mm, glabrous above & scaly beneath. Axillary glomerules with 15 bracts to 4mm x 2mm, florets 7 per head with white or greenish corolla to 6mm long, corolla tube 2mm diameter. Glabrous achenes 3mm long with 50 bristles to 5.5mm long
