Sometimes scandent shrub to 6m, glabrescent stems with lenticels. Leaves to 140mm x 70mm, glabrous above, puberulous beneath, reddish mid-ribs & petioles. Flower spikes to 100mm x 4mm+ with bracts. Glabrous berry.
