Dioecious glabrous liana or scandent vine. Glabrous leaves to 100mm x 50mm. Male inflorescence to 75mm long, female spikes to 20mm x 0.8mm, both flowers with bracts, flowers greenish-yellow aging grey-brown, male flowers with stamens to 1mm long.

Produces abundant potable water when cut
