High-climbing shrub or liana to 25m with red-hairy & prickly young stems, striate branchlets. Coriaceous glabrous leaves to 330mm x 200mm tomentose on nerves beneath. Cauliflorous panicles, pale green to yellowish petals to 3.5mm, male panicles to 250mm x 50mm with 3-5 calyx segmanets hirsute outside to 1.2mm, 3-4 light green to yellowish petals with recurved lobes hairy outside to 2mm, female axillary fascicles to 40mm x 20m with calyx 5mm long with lobes 1.5mm, petals to 3.5mm. Rusty-tomentose beaked longitudinally 5-ridged drupe to 130mm x 35mm, beak to 35mm wide.
