Weak vine-like monoecious glabrous shrub with purple-black stems. Leaves to 20mm x 18mm. Axillary solitary male & female flowers, bracts to 1.5mm, white flowers, male flowers with 6 pink sepals to 3mm x 2mm . Female flowers with 6 sepals. Purple capsule 2.5mm long.
