Scrambling shrub or tall woody climber with glabrous or slightly silky branches, imparipinnate leaves with 9-11 leaflets, coriaceous glabrous leaflets to 125mm long, panicles to 300mm long with 2mm bracts, of white & purple flowers, aging dark blue, 2mm grey-silky calyx, violet corolla to 6mm, glabrous standard to 3mm, yellow-green glabrous pods to 175mm x 25mm
