Climbing vine to 3m, Trifoliolate leaves puberulent above, hairy beneath, terminal leaflet to 89mm x 63mm, lateral leaflets to 77mm x 52mm. Racemes to 340mm long with bracts to 10mm x 7mm & bracteoles to 1mm long. Reddish-violet flowers fading purplish-violet, calyx to 6mm long with triangular lobes, purplish-red standard to 12mm x 12mm, wings purplish-red fading purple to 19mm long, claw 5mm x 1mm, kell 10mm long. Slightly falcate sparsely puberulent seedpods to 60mm x 9mm
