Large woody tendril climber with quadrangular, reddish brown hairy young branches, bifid leaves to 220mm x 160mm, glabrous above to almost glabrous beneath. Rusty tomentose corymbs to at least 150mm long with bracts to 15mm x 8mm, silky hairy, bracteoles to 12mm, calyx splitting into 5 hairy sepals to 25mm x 4mm, white to yellow petals 20mm long, braown silky hairy outside, almost glabrous within, claw to 7mm long
