Large tendril liana with young branches glabrescent, stems with lenticels, bifid leaves to 190mm x 130mm, glabrous above and glabrescent beneath. Lateral or terminal racemes or corymbs 130mm x 150mm with tomentose bracts to 8mm and smaller bracteoles, pale yellow flowers, calyx tube to 3mm, 2 sepals 9mm x 3mm villous outside, villous yellowish-green petals with sometimes 2 purple blotched at tip to 25mm long, glabrescent pods 90mm x 30mm
