Fruiting Times
Woody semi-evergreen scabrous hairy twining liana to 15m or occasionally erect shrub or tree to 6m with lenticellate branches. Glabrous or puberulent & scaberulous leaves to 200mm x 120mm. 600mm longpendent terminal or axillary racemes or panicles with bractlets to 7mm long of 35mm purple, pale violet, 55mm paler blue calyx or blue or white flowers, 10-ribbed 5-lobed calyx glabrous 20mm long, ovate lobes to 20mm x 6mm, 5-lobed corolla to 15mm long, tube to 16mm long, densely pubescent within, lobes to 10mm long. 5-lobed fruit capsule with persistent calyx 6mm long in fruit & lobes to 28mmx 7mm
